The cannulation allows the tunnel expanders to be placed over the K-wire. This helps the surgeon avoid migration of the expander. The 1cm markings allows the surgeon to determine the depth of the tunnel, even endoscopically. A rasp at the distal tip chamfers the tunnel edges, helping to prevent graft abrasion.
